Looking to extend the magic of a fall weekend spent idling in a pumpkin patch? Check out these five uplifting events.

Dine in Brooklyn, multiple locations, Monday through Thursday

Hop aboard the G train and explore Brooklyn through its food this week, when over 150 restaurants will offer $25 prix fixe dinners and $15 lunches. Participants include old school classics like L & B Spumoni Gardens and new favorites like The Good Fork. A full line up of restaurants and their special offers can be viewed on the event website.

League of Kitchens, Tenement Museum, 108 Orchard Street, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.

Join this free hands-on cooking experience, which features immigrants discussing various cooking methods in their homes with eager-to-learn students. Dinner is meant to facilitate cultural exchanges through eating and cooking, and a food writer and the event’s founder will help moderate the interactive conversation. Seating is on a first come, first served basis beginning at 6 p.m.

La Cosecha Comida: Pop-up dinner w/ Local Roots NYC and Chef Eduardo Sandoval, 55 John Street, Brooklyn, Thursday, 7 p.m.

Ex-Mission Cantina chef Eduardo Sandoval hosts an evening under the Manhattan Bridge with a menu featuring beef heart and cabbage tacos, and chicken mole. The Mexican menu also includes a warm shrimp soup and a dessert course, plus two Sixpoint brews, in the price of each $55 ticket.

Dinner Express: Brazilian Suppers, Bowery Culinary Center – Whole Foods, 95 East Houston Street, Thursday, 7 p.m.

If the cool fall air is giving you the chills, learn how to warm up with a few Brazilian specialties. During this two-hour class, students will learn to cook shrimp and peppers in yucca cream sauce along with Brazil-nut pineapple smoothies, among other dishes. Tickets are $35.
