Ty Segall

by

Ultra-prolific twentysomething garage rocker Ty Segall has yet to release anything new this year, but his oeuvre keeps growing—last year it was with the ’60s-ish acid-washed sounds of Twins and a gnarly cover of the Velvet Underground’s “Femme Fatale”—so he’ll have plenty to draw from tonight. Joining him are some like-minded lo-fi scuzzy-sounding buzz artists, including plinky guitar jamster Mac DeMarco and bouncy, tripped-out blues magoos Ex-Cult. Also expect some party-rock cuts courtesy of ’60s shimmy expert DJ Jonathan Toubin.
