Golden Child

David Henry Hwang was something of a golden child himself, plucked by Joe Papp when still a Stanford undergrad for his professional debut. Now fully grown and beginning his Signature season, Hwang revives this memory play about a wealthy Chinese patriarch torn between traditional values and his attraction to the West.
