Taste of Times Square
There’s going to be a outdoor pop-up food festival today on 46th Street between Broadway and 9th Avenue. Taste of Times Square features international flavors from restaurants around the city. Click here for a full list of participating restaurants.

Tuesday, June 12

Shroom Class
Eugenia Bone, author of Mycophilia: Revelations from the Weird World of Mushrooms and president of the New York Mycological Society will be teaching an “All About Mushrooms Class” at the Brooklyn Kitchen from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The class costs $75 per person and includes a lecture, cooking demonstration, mushroom tasting dinner, and beer. Tickets can be purchased here. Brooklyn Kitchen is located at 100 Frost Street in Williamsburg.

New Num Pang Sandwich
Num Pang is partnering with Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Dan Kluger to offer a limited edition “ABC Pang” at both Num Pang locations in NYC. The “ABC Pang” will be available starting Tuesday, June 12. Sandwich description: a lemongrass poached chicken salad with Thai basil, jalapenos, chili mayonnaise and lime piled onto a crunchy semolina baguette, that is topped with crispy chicken skin and spicy cashew butter spiked with Thai chilies and candied ginger.

Wednesday, June 13

Sweet, Sour, Savory
Eric Ripert and Christina Tosi will be on hand at the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) for “Sweet, Sour, Savory,” a discussion on exploring new flavors with classic ingredients. Ripert and Tosi will explore the emotional and cultural influences of flavors. Click here to buy tickets.

Chocolate Making Sessions
In honor of Father’s Day, chef/owner Aditi Malhotra of chocolate boutique and cafe Christian Vautier Le Concept is inviting kids and their dads for fun-filled chocolate making sessions. Aprons and tiaras will be provided, plus guests get to take home all the chocolates they make — along with a goodie bag filled with house-made mendiants, grignotines, and a white chocolate truffle. For $45 per person, Father’s Day chocolate making sessions will be offered Wednesday, June 13 through Sunday, June 17, from 11am – 5pm. Each session runs approximately an hour and a half to two hours. Call 212-473-3200 by Monday, June 11 to reserve a session.
