NEW YORK CITY ARCHIVES

ROCK RX

by

Generation Records is a rock stalwart in the Village—everyone remembers buying that punk record there, or at least that grossly oversize My Bloody Valentine T-shirt. Ted Leo is a vet of ’80s New York hardcore (Citizen’s Arrest, Animal Crackers) and ’90s D.C. mod revival (Chisel) who has since channeled his considerable charm into his Pharmacists’ erudite, accessible pop-rock. At this free solo acoustic show, he’ll air out some tracks from The Brutalist Bricks, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists’ sixth LP—go, because showing your East Coast cred is rarely this convenient.
